Macular Degeneration

I have requests to post the acupuncture protocol for macular degeneration. I have modified the protocol as used by Dr, Alston Lundgren as found on www.reverseamd.com

The modification I have made has been successful in three patients after 2 or more treatments. The latest patient had a vision change from 20/200 to 20/80 and 20/400 to 20/80. The process does not seem to reverse.

The technique is quite challenging and there are important safety issues. An article that I have authored is in press currently regarding these safety issues with this patient population and will be posted on this site in about
one month.

This protocol is difficult and the placement of the needles in the orbital area of the eye which I have modified is technically challenging. The entire electronic equipment set-up is not difficult, but has to be performed
precisely.

I feel that this technique should be taught as a course instruction and I would only recommend acupuncturists who have successfully been mentored by me to patients. I will probably list the steps of the protocol but not in detail because of the medical legal implications. I will also issue modifications on my website as I refine this technique. Dr. Alston Lundgren has worked very hard to produce this protocol and all credit is due to him. I have modified one of his steps, but it turns out to be most critical.
